Honestly I don't know much about its history so I have done some research about it and I came to know that according to the Muslim tradition the Eid-al-Fitr was originated or you can say celebrated in the year 610 A.D by the Prophet Muhammad and this all happen because of some interesting discussion between him and the angel Jibril (also Known as Gabriel) while he was meditating in Mount Hira during the month of Ramadan.

How it is celebrated

Eid-al-Fitr is celebrated on the first date of Shawwal which is the tenth month of the Hijra calendar (Islamic Calendar). In the festival.
