To copyright your own blog or website will allow you to save your content from being stolen and then you can easily find and report that person or blog/site owner to Google or DMCA. In this tutorial we are going to show you how you can easily copyright your own blog or a website.
What Is A Copyright?
A copyright is a special document/mark granting exclusive right to a specific person or company to publish or sell the work or product for either commercial or non-commercial purposes.
Why You Need A Copyright?
In an online business, it sounds really bad that when you try so hard to publish the great quality content and someone so easily steal and paste that content on their own site. So if you have copyrighted your content, no one will try to easily fetch your hard work i.e. your content from your blog or website.
How To Copyright Your Blog Or Website?
1. Go to Creative Commons homepage.
2. Click “Licenses” button at the top > Choose A License.
3. Here you can choose the different options, that for what purposes (commercial or non-commercial) your content should be used on the web.
4. Copy the code to let your visitors know in “HAVE A WEBPAGE” block.
5. After creating a license at "Creative Commons" and copy the code, come to your blog/site.
6. Create a "Separate Copyright Page"on your blog/site by adding the Creative Commons license code in it.
7. Next setup Google Alerts with a keywords from your blog/site. When someone uses the same keywords Google will inform you via email every time.

8. If you find your content on another blog or a website, contact the blog/site owner with your "content distribution license link" to remove it. If the owner decline to remove the content that you own from their blog or website simply report them to Google or DMCA. They will take action against the copyright violation and will remove them from their listings.
Note:- For contacting the blog/site owner to remove the stolen content, you can use “Whois Domain Registration Search” to find out the email address of the owner.
That’s All.
